Eye In Me’s Private Practice Doula (PP Doula) Program
meets an important need for licensed and pre-licensed psychotherapists who have decided to venture into clinical entrepreneurship and launch a full time or part-time virtual private or group practice. Our PP Doula Program is a 12-Week 1:1 coaching program for clinicians wishing to launch their private practice.Traditionally, a doula is a trained professional who provides guidance and emotional support in service of others who are involved in a significant health-related experience such as childbirth. While very different from childbirth, starting a private practice is another birthing experience. You expend energy and time to bring forth a service that will be lucrative and mutually fulfilling to you, your family, your community, and the world. You will spend late nights and early mornings thinking about your business and it will take on its own personality traits that may share some characteristics with you, but will untimely be its own entity.
Unlike childbirth, clinicians may not need a nine month gestation period to bring your virtual private practice to life. The truth is that you can get started fairly quickly and be fully up and running in about three months with EIM’s Private Practice Doula support.

Of course you will continue to nurture and grow your business after the initial three months, but by the end your 12-week experience you should understand how to do the following:

- Develop brand-aligned name.
- Protect through trademarks.
Objective 2Legal
- Align business entities and tax structures strategically.
- Analyze entity type pros and cons.
Objective 3Financial & Operations
- Optimize tax benefits.
- Manage finances effectively.
- Ensure liability coverage.
- Plan for succession.
- Set strategic rates.
- Diversify income sources.
- Navigate insurance dynamics.
- Assess insurance options.
- Establish key financial policies.
Objective 4Ethical Practice & Policies
- Address ethical nuances.
- Establish comprehensive policies.
- Establish key clinical policies.
This 12-week program serves as both a supportive space and structured course for emerging private practice owners.
Each week you will have a 60–minute 1:1 meeting where we’ll cover the topics listed under the objectives, engage in brainstorming, and answer any questions you may have. After each meeting you’ll receive meeting notes and a task list with due dates to keep you on track and accountable.
Additionally, you will also have access to a private group chat with other clinicians who have completed the Private Practice Doula Program. This is a supportive space where you can ask your questions, share your milestones, and be celebrated for your success.
The cost of the program is $200/per session or $2400 total (payment plans available). The cost of the program is a tax deductible business expense. Payment for your weekly EIM PP Doula sessions could be covered by only one or two client sessions per week.

The program served as a powerful validation for the work I had already accomplished in building my practice.
