The Private Practice Business Incubator for Therapists is designed to support aspiring entrepreneurs by providing a blend of individual supervision and business coaching to support their healthy transition into entrepreneurship . The goal is to help participants gain clinical experience and business acumen necessary for establishing their own mission-based and values-driven private-pay practices.
Key Features:
Supervision and Coaching:
Participants receive clinical supervision towards licensure (if needed), peer consultation, and coaching to prepare for private practice.Your Path to Your Own Practice:
Our goal is your graduation. While in our program, you will see clients and build your caseload under our established brand. When you are ready to launch, you take the client relationships you've built with you. No non-competes, no restrictive contracts. Just support.
Program Duration:
We are a 12 to 18-month business incubator (with options to extend). We ask therapists to fully commit to this journey of learning and growth. In return, we commit to giving you the coaching, community, and entrepreneurial skills you need to build a successful and autonomous private-pay practice.Compensation Structure:
We use a productivity-based compensation formula where participants earn a percentage from each session along with a base pay for administrative responsibilities.
An Employee Model for Entrepreneurs:
We believe in building a community of honor, not a roster of contractors. All participants join as W-2 employees, which is the stable, legal foundation for our partnership. This structure allows us to invest in you by covering your employer-side taxes. The "job" is your incubator. Our paid, weekly staff meetings are your real-world business school, where we teach you everything—from marketing to money—at a pace that builds your confidence and empowers you for your future.Mastering Client Acquisition:
True entrepreneurial freedom comes from a private-pay model, and our incubator is designed to teach you how to build it. This means learning the real-world business of attracting and retaining clients based on your unique brand. Our goal is to coach you as you build your own sustainable caseload, targeting 10 or more weekly clients.Autonomy, Community, and Simplicity:
We give you the best of both worlds. You get the autonomy of a private practice—with full control over your schedule—plus the financial simplicity of an employee. We also provide the platform (your own web page, blogging opportunities) and the community (collaboration, peer support) so you're not alone.Considerations:
Feasibility Discussion:
Prospective participants can discuss their specific circumstances, especially those unable to practice independently due licensure requirements to understand how the program fits their situation.
Income Projections:
Information on average session fees or a standard pay rate will be provided to help participants estimate potential income.
Concurrent Employment/ Independent Contractor:
