Bring Culturally Responsive Psychotherapists to Your TeamMental health conditions are pervasive, and the impact is even more pronounced within Black communities.
As a company leader or benefit consultant, you understand the critical role employers play in addressing this disparity and fostering a supportive work environment and encouraging total well-being for your employees. You may have engaged EAP providers and other technology based employee resources, but there may be trust and utilization issues because the provider may not be familiar with the unique and nuanced aspects of your workplace culture, institution, business, region, population, or social climate. At EIM, our Well-Being Works program is designed to assist wellness-focused employers like yours in bridging the gap and connecting Black and Black adjacent employees with culturally congruent psychotherapy services. On the other hand...
According to the Health and Human Services Office of Minority Health, Black adults in the U.S. are more likely than their White counterparts to experience persistent symptoms of emotional distress. Factors such as a lack of access to culturally responsive mental health care, prejudice, racism, and historical trauma contribute to the disproportionately higher rates of mental health concerns in Black communities. The 2019 National Surveys on Drug Use and Health revealed that only one in three Black adults in need of mental health care actually receives it.Our Solution: A Culturally Tailored Approach to Employee Mental Health
